Wicked- Chicago's longest Running show?

It is, by far, the longest running "Broadway" show. There are a few other long-running chicago shows: Forever Plaid, Shear Madness and Too Much Light to name but three-- but they really are in a different class.

11 months — "Evita" at Shubert Theatre, 1980-81
9 months — "Miss Saigon" at Auditorium Theatre, 1992-93
9 months — "The Phantom of the Opera" at Auditorium Theatre, 1990-91
8 months — "Ragtime" at Oriental Theatre, 1998
6 months — "Les Miserables" at Auditorium Theatre, 1988
