Posted: 8/6/04 at 12:28amI dont know if this has been discused since they announced that Caroline or Change is closing. I know there was talk about HBO filming it and then airing it. Does anyone know if there have been plans to air it on TV?

Theater is so much better live.
Filming theater loses something.
Live actors. The excitement of the theater.
Support wonderful theater by saving CAROLINE.
It is Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori's beautiful musical.
I have a better idea, let HBO give CAROLINE the money to keep it on Broadway where it belongs.

I concur with BwayBoy. I'd love to be able to put in a DVD of the show and see Tonya do "Lot's Wife" at least one more time. I think having HBO on board is great, and I really hope they preserve this show. It's run will have been far too short for my tastes. But that Broadway nowadays. Big on spectacle, short on quality. Gotta love it.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

Considering how much support HBO has given the show so far, I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed and aired it, too.

Some posters are just so moronic that they completely justify the use of the blocking system on this board - what a lovely invention...lol...
Now - a question about the theatre where Caroline is Playing - do they sell standing room when the show is sold out? I saw it and loved it and would like to see it again before it closes - but money is tight at the moment...possums...

I was on the HBO site yesterday (looking to see when new Curb eps would be starting) and this huge ad for Caroline came up. I got all excited, thinking it would be coming on tv so I could get a chance to see it. But it was just an ad for the show. But maybe one day!

Posted: 8/6/04 at 10:56amRed Hot-If you can, get rush tickets, when I saw the show a few Saturdays ago, the mezz. was 1/4 full and even with the news of the show closing, I don't think it will be sold out.
