Will The Encore have an encore?

Just read the link to the Siegels column at talkinbroadway.com. Congrats to the performers who were reviewed. I enjoyed reading the Siegels' opinions on the performers.

Am concerned that The Encore, a fine cabaret club & piano bar is at risk. I appears to me that the cabaret room seems to be doing well. I'm hoping that there is a creative way to increase attendance upstairs around the piano. Perhaps adding tables in close proximity to the singer/pianist would help.

Needless to say the club is ideally located & has terrific personnel. I'm going to stop in upstairs to the bar soon for some Holiday Cheer.

I agree that the caberet room at The Encore is a great setting with top notch sound and lighting equipment. The staff and booking manager are also wonderful. Unfortunatly, the piano bar portion is awkward and sterile. I think what would work best would be to turn the upstairs into another caberet venue. NYC caberet rooms have been closing like mad in the past few years. Why not have two great rooms to book in the one venue?

The Encore has a lovely ambiance and great service, not to mention the best happy hour for the value in midtown: from 4 to 8, well drinks are $3.

It's a great deal, and the people there are just lovely. Highly recommended.
