I believe they mentioned they'd changes some references with the school and make it more familiar with British audiences. I can't remember exactly what, but sort of the differences between American and U.K. colleges? I dunno.
PS. Where did we verify that there WILL be a cast recording after Idina leaves? I would like to see proof.

...what's that suppose to mean?
Has it been said that there is going to be a new London Recording? Because I haven't heard anything either way, and am very interested to know.

If Londoners like the show "Blood Brothers" (its in it's 21st year I believe) then Wicked is a masterpiece.
I honestly die a little thinking about Blood Brothers..honestly the worst show ever.

I have not read anything about changing the school scenes. However there is bugger all superficial difference between US colleges and UK universities.
That and we see enough TV and film to be familiar anyway! I really for the life of me cant see what would need to be changed.
What I have read though is that they are upping the political subtext. Nice little article about the london production in today's Sunday Times where the director says that watching Helen Dallimore is like "hearing the words of Henry Kissinger come out of Barbie!"
