Will Tommy Tune-up Mambo Kings ?

The rumor is as of today 6/20/05--- Tune passed on the project.
Wonder if the producers will go ahead and close this before the transfer to NY?

Critics have hated it.

I'm saying a prayer for this show.... I wanted to see it soar

I wish any show opening on Broadway luck. I did not get a chance to see it in SF, but some friends of mine did and they enjoyed the show overall, especially the dancing. They did mention some book problems (which seems to be the biggest problem that critics and audiences alike are talking about, TOM1071 - lack of a cohesive storyline), but then...that's what PREVIEWS are for...
