Probably not since it's opening there permanently.
No, because the tour itself is sold out already and its staying here. I have tickets to the 2nd show in chicago and I doubt they will make a lottery with it opening in about 2 weeks.

Can't imagine a lottery, I can't think of a single Chicago show that's had one. They do, often, release some tickets the day of to head off the scalpers. That's what Spamalot did. They also might trickle some tickets into the Hot Tix (TKTS-Chicago) booths.

i think this show is locked up pretty much. the only people in chicago with tickets to wicked are scalpers. i've seen titanic and sunset twice through scalpers in chicago. chicagoans are pretty fanatical about their theater. i don't see a lottery happening there, i've been hounding them about it for years. as long as there are idiots, like me, willing to pay 300 and up for an opening night seat in the back row, there will be no lottery in chicago.
sorry to go off topic but does anyone know who is in the running for glinda opposite ana? will they use kendra?

I have my tickets, and I'm not a scalper! I can't wait to see it (again!)
I have tickets already for the tour in May, I was just curious. I wonder if the sitdown production will have lottery...just for future visits.
What do u mean the only peopole with Wicked tickets are scalpers. I have wicked tickets and I am not in any way a scalper.
Broadway in Chicago dosen't technically have a "lottery" for shows that come here. However, a few hours before showtime, they do release "Student Tickets" for 25$ and they'll put you whereever they have seats left. I've seen Les Mis twice here and once was in 3rd row and the second was in the 8th - both for 25$. They did this for Sweet Charity as well. But I'm seeing Wicked on May 18th. Looking forward to it!

sorry. i should have said. the only available tickets are with scalpers or those horrible sports/concert brokers who bought them for about 60 bucks and are now selling them for 4 and 5 times as much.
I would bet that they do have a lottery, if the production team calls for it. RENT won't travel to any theatre that won't host a form of line/lottery for them. Maybe Wicked works the same.
