You're only hope is to get contraband versions.
The only reason I have some is from someone who knows someone who knows William Finn and gave them the permission.

"I Have Found" is from a show Finn is working on called "The Royal Family of Broadway" (based on the play).. Carolee Carmello sings it on the CD and it's absolutely marvelous.
If you want the recording (it's called Infinite Joy: The Songs for William Finn), you can find it for $6.25 on Amazon.com (through a vendor, but still!). It's a great CD; I listen to it often.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 2:37pmI LOVE "In Trousers" and I am amazed that I have never heard of some enterprising young company doing the three "Falsettos" musicals in Rep.

Posted: 1/4/05 at 3:59pmIt's out there. I've got copies of Anytime (Norm's key), I Am There (Carolee's key), Infinite Joy and some others. It's funny because they actually say "Carolee" or "Norm" printed on the music.

IN TROUSERS is my favorite piece of the Marvin trilogy, and the one that I listen to the most.
The second that "High School Ladies at 5 o'clock" ends, I can't resist jumping over and pressing the back button to hear it once again. Testa's "Set Those Sails" kills me, as does Fraser in the gorgeously evocative "I Am Wearing a Hat." It's a great CD.
I also love the INFINITE JOY score, especially "Hitchhiking Across America," which always makes me smile.
I can't wait for SPELLING BEE!!!

In Trousers is the best of the trilogy to me, too, Veuve.
I am wearing a hat--and those last two numbers on the cd...
