William Ive Long

does anyone know where i can find more info about him?? i really love his work!! i am a costume designer in college and would someday love to be respected designer like him :) but any info would be helpful! it would be awsome if i could get an internship working with him!!! thanks :)

Check out the websites for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE PRODUCERS and HAIRSPRAY..and there have been some articles about him in various newspapers recently (do a Google 'news' search). I was pleased to learn he did his college thesis on "Costume in Medici Court Festivals".

You're right, he's a terrific designer and supposedly a real sweetie-pie.

Also, Donald Holder has been designing almost every show hitting Broadway! He is my idol! I wish I can be like him someday!

a good resource for him is anything on THE LOST COLONY. He grew up doing that summer pageant and always claims it. He may have designed the clothes there annually.
