Winter's Tale Auditions

I'm auditioning for Winter's Tale very soon and I need a strong comedic monologue from Shakespeare to contrast my dramatic one. I really suck with Shakespearean comedy (and unfortunately I have to audition for the show due to degree requirements), so what might be the easiest/best comedic monologue to use?

re: Winter's Tale Auditions

i'm currently playing autolycus!

hmmm, easiest comedic monologues. generally i would say bottom's monologue from midsummer. yes, it's overdone, but if you're just looking for funny and easy then that's it. berowne has a couple great ones in love's labours lost. depending on your physical abilities falstaff has some great ones in both henry iv's and also in merry wives of windsor. pm me if you would like any advice. which character are you going for because that will change which monologue you should use. we had to audition with the actual winter's tale monologues, so i did autolycus'...

re: Winter's Tale Auditions

Well, I'm auditioning for Florizel and using a one minute monologue of his for my first piece, but my secong has to be from another show and comedic. Yes, this is at KSU.

I'll start looking into Falstaff a little more. don't know why I didn't think of him in the first place. Can't do Bottoms, since one of the best actors is already using it in his package and I know I won't be able to match his interpretation. Thanks for your suggestions, and keep 'em coming.
