Will the planned extension of "Fiddler on the Roof" get in the way of transferring ALW's beautiful musical "The Woman in White" to the Minskoff Theatre from London?
I don't think the Minskoff was ever officially announced for The Woman In White...and ticket sales are picking up for Fiddler -- let's hope that the revival can maybe stick around long enough to at least make a little bit of money. I'm sure some of these ambitious musicals that are hitting broadway in the next few months won't live to see the fall and The Woman In White will be able to find a home for itself.
Luckily, the Woman in White needs just a wide stage, not necessarily the biggest. The set is very simple, similar to Mamma Mia's (the actual set, not the purpose). We'll see, the Broadway Theatre is open, that would be a good choice...
