Wonderland Confusion
Wonderland Confusion#1
Posted: 12/6/09 at 2:22pmSo is it ever going to go on Broadway? And will a soundtrack ever come out?
re: Wonderland Confusion#2
Posted: 12/6/09 at 2:25pmThere already is a cast recording with the world premiere cast (Dacal, Snelson, Ritchie/etc.). The show is planning to either tour or go to Broadway following it's engagement in Houston. The future of the show is unclear at this point!
re: Wonderland Confusion#2
Posted: 12/6/09 at 2:34pmNo, the future is quite sure. This show won't even make it through the Lincoln Tunnel...
re: Wonderland Confusion#3
Posted: 12/6/09 at 5:49pmThere is no confusion. This will get flushed down the stinker following its Tampa run.

Not since "But Never Jam Today."

"There is no confusion. This will get flushed down the stinker following its Tampa run."
Gregory Boyd, director & co-book writer, is the head director for the Alley Theatre in Houston; I guarantee this will be going to Houston following the run in Tampa. After? Probably huge huge rewrites or it will sink on tour or flop huge on Broadway.

Go to Merchandise; there should be directions. Some clips are on the site as well.

That's the INTENTION. As I said before, if the Marquis is open, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to snag it for the simple reason that it's to my knowledge most up-to-date on the projections.

Posted: 12/7/09 at 10:58amI'm just saying, Wildhorn's got the money and the backers clearly to be able to take Wonderland to Broadway. Will he? I don't think so in this state of the show, but he has also done shows without tryouts or totally revamped them after their tryouts. They apparently changed a LOT of the show since last March's reading with Lauren Kennedy!

OMG PPC: I was totally obsessed with that television movie of Alice in Wonderland. I have it on dvd now and when I watch it I remember every subtle moment. That cake cutting scene still makes me feel dizzy from childlike confusion. I don't think it is related to "But Never Jam Today" by Vinnette Carroll (no relation). It was a African-American led Broadway musical version of Alice in You-know-where. It had a pretty cool poster.
HOLY CRAP! You can listen to songs from it at the link below! What a find!
