He may have not written the rhymes, but he FO SHO wrote the soul, ya'll! In his New York City debut, ASCAP Award-winning composer Joel Waggoner performs his own music at the piano with the help of his three hags. Come judge him openly with booze and (enjoy/convulse in response to) his music. As a recent NYU Graduate Musical Theater Writing Alum and Native Cornfed Iowan, Joel Waggoner and his hags promise you a show stocked full of world-premiere songs and melodies you'll wish you could take home! And hey! Joel rhymes with soul. What more could you ask for? Three hags? Check.

Kirsten will present songs from her upcoming musicals and shows currently in development with composers and composer-lyricists Laurence O'Keefe, Ryan Scott Oliver, Gaby Alter, Joy Son and Julian Fleisher.

KIRSTEN GUENTHER was named one of “50 writers to watch” by The Dramatist and is the subject of their interview series this month. She wrote the book for Mrs. Sharp (2008 Richard Rodgers Award) which was workshopped at Playwrights Horizons in July starring Jane Krakowski (30 Rock) and directed by Michael Greif (Rent, Next to Normal). She wrote book and lyrics for Little Miss Fix-It which will be featured on a hit NBC show this fall. Kirsten’s current projects include book and lyrics for Little Miss Fix-It and books for Stop Talking, The Perfect Mate and Car Songs. Her lyrics have been heard on the hit online series The Battery’s Down (Ghost Light Records) and TADA’s off-Broadway production Everything About A Family (Almost). Previously, Kirsten wrote in Paris for USA Today and authored the Parisian weekly dating column, "The Sexy Expat." She is currently developing a new musical with Joy Son based on these columns. Kirsten is the recipient of a Richard Rodgers Award, Lincoln Center Honorarium, Dramatist Guild Fellowship, Marge Goldwater Scholarship and was a 2007 Disney/ASCAP workshop participant. Her work has been performed throughout Greater New York including the Public Theatre, Lincoln Center, Goodspeed, Barrington Stages, the York Theatre, NY City Center (Encores!), Joe’s Pub and recently on Broadway at the Palace Theatre where she wrote the opening tribute for Queen Latifah (prod. Rosie O’Donnell). She has guest lectured at NYU, Harvard and Yale. BFA Acting, USC; MFA Musical Theatre Writing, NYU (Tisch). Proud member of ASCAP. She is represented at The Gersh Agency.
