Why? The original movie ended with the professor bringing vampires into the New World instead of ending them as he'd intended. The musical took that a step further freeing vampires to walk in the sun and allowing them to take over the world. I liked the ending and I liked the final set.

WICKED has a great ending!!!!!!!!! I cry every time I see it, even though I know Elphaba doesn't die!

As much as I like the musical "Cindy, Cendrillon 2002", the ending it terrible. Ricky and Cindy go into outerspace for their honeymoon and they have them "taking off" using light's and them standing on this platform and they start shaking...it's really stupid.

i like the ending of rent, i think it suits the rest of the show, but i dont feel like arguing about it, thats just my opinion.

and i think elphaba should have died at the end of wicked, like in the book (wicked and the wizard of oz). but the show is an entirely different story, not just the ending.

Just be glad you haven't seen We Will Rock you...fab music, but a story thinner than Calista Flockhart and a dire ending

Thanks for the clear up Plum! As I always say, if I am wrong, call me on it! I do believe Shaw was upset about something...maybe some productions made the ending obviously having her go back to Higgins and it upset him. I wish I knew the source but I read it in a photocopy in one of my English classes. Feel free to PM me if you can tell me more Plum.

I will have to agree with anything goes. Terrible musical, terrible ending.

Into the Woods. Awfully dreary.

Phantom of the Opera. Someone needed to knock the dumb guy off his high horse. What kind of crap is that? He just dissapears into a thick chair? Why the heck didn't someone check in the back of the chair? whos running that show?
