I saw the Mamma Mia! national tour in 2002 and it is coming back to Cleveland at the end of June. Should I check it out again? Is it worth the $56 to see again? Last time I was far back, so I want to get closer seats.
Well the first question is... Did you have fun the first time? If so why not see it again! I saw it '02 and had a blast and then again for my daughters b-day. And have plans to see it again w/ my friends from highschool.

if you liked the show, sure go again! I think its great! I saw it in NY, and then i saw it when it came to Palm Beach. Its all a matter of personal opinion!
I've seen it once in London and twice in Chicago. I plan on seeing it agin the next time it is in Chicago. It's a great night out and I love the music.
PS - Ravinia is having a Music of ABBA concert this summer in Chicago.
WOO HOO !!
Personally, it's not my favorite show, but if you enjoyed it I'm sure you'll enjoy seeing it again!

Now I just need to find someone to go with. I think I will just go by myself again...
I went once and it was a blast but until I see other shows I will not see it again.
I love the music though.
Still have to see:
Bombay Dreams
Fiddler
Boy From OZ
Frogs
Dracula
I've never seen the national tour, but I have seen Mamma Mia 10 times so far (9 times Toronto, 1 time New York), so you can guess my opinion on it. It's one of the few plays that I do enjoy seeing over and over. If you saw the play in 2002 and enjoyed it, then why not go again? It's most likely a different cast too so you'll see how different actors give the characters a different spin.

I'd spend my money on another tour that I hadn't seen if I were you.

I saw Mamma Mia last night in Los Angeles at the Pantages theatre and I would have to say that it was pathetically average. The cast seemed to be going through the motions. the most energy there was all night on the stage came at the curtain call. Like they couldn't be hapier the show was over. Yes the music is good but only if it is sung well, and on this night the voices were VERY questionable. Sophie (Chilina Kennedy) Had a rough start but she eventually warmed up and was OK. Donna (Colleen Fitzpatrick) seemed like she was exhausted and needed a night off. Sam (Gary Lynch) almost laughable. I was annoyed that I spent the money to see such a lackluster show. Maybe the cast was preserving their energy because the house was only at about 1,100 people. I was really dissapointed.........I hope you don't go see this cast. Good luck

I bought a ticket. Opening night, Row G, Center.
The question is: will you ever see Millie again now that Juliana Ashley Hanson is out of the show?
