You see, I told you I don't know much about those things. I was born in 1970. re: Would U Enjoy Carol Burnett in Sunset Blvd?

Carol as Norma? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's the only way one could withstand that horrible, incompetent show. Some of the worst lyrics ever.
As for the movie, please let it not happen...the original is fine enough with me, thanks.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Let's not forget that Barbra and Walter did not get along at all. Sad thing is, you can tell when you watch that film.

"Do you know what pledge time is, Andrew"? said the PBS Executive. "Yes", Lloyd Webber replied. "My 50th birthday special must be one program that gets done a lot." "No", mused the man from PBS heedlessy. "Not so much. Our Stephen Sondheim Carnegie Hall concert. That's a big one." Spoons, forks and knives seemed suddenly to suspend their motion in horror, all around the table.

"it automatically becomes camp as soon as she walks out with a turban on her head."

My impression of Sunset Boulevard was that it was "Camp".
Especially with lines like "I'm ready for my close up, Mr. DeMille" or "It was the pictures that got smaller!"

Justice, I recall that Matthau hated Barbra during the filming of HELLO DOLLY! Apparently the years softened him a bit as he can be seen in the audience, among other Streisand friends, at the concert she gave in the backyard of her home. You know, the one where Robin Williams did an opening act and Barry Gibb appeared with Barbra for two songs--I believe the official title of that concert was ONE VOICE. That was about 20 years ago......15 years after filming Dolly.

"Blow out the candles Robert and make a wish. Want something, want SOMETHING."
