Wrestling Porcelain - Potential Shill Allert

Last night I saw this show Wrestling Porcelain which defies description except that it takes place in a ladies bathroom of an upscale Italian Restaurant. I say upscale because the restaurant can afford to employ a service attendant & 14 waiters/waitresses & a manager. There are interesting & well-played characters, dancing, gymnastics, set & lighting. There is also a full array of percussion incidental accompaniment.

The Wreckio Ensemble is a new company & they did this show very briefly at the Access Theater Club. The show is scheduled to run for month of July. It's dir'd by Tamera Cone & the players are Randi Berry, Dechelle Damien, Michelle Diaz and Karly Maurer. I believe their show "The Corner" ran in the NY International Fringe Festival.

I felt like this is a baby New York happening. Just so you know, the script was written by the Wreckio Ensemble & they're still finding their way w/it, but I'm happy to tell you I saw it & do recommend it to all, especially those who enjoy the Fringe Festival. There is no advertising budget whatsoever, thus my post.

Here's the potential shill allert part: I only heard about this show because my press agent who is handling it mentioned it to me. I did, however, pay full price to see the play to show my support & I'm glad I did.

It's playing at the St. Mark's Church at 2nd Ave. & 10th St. in The Ontological Theatre. Admission is $20. The running time is 1 1/2 & it starts at 8 P.

As an aside, the cemetary by the church has some interesting headstones, 1 belonging to a former NY Governer who became US VP 1817-1825 by the name of Thompkins. I love discovering things like that.
