Writer’s Strike affecting the Tony Awards?

I’m curious to see how or if the writer’s strike will affect this year’s Tony Award telecast, simply because it is a televised event that usually has hired writers - and is about a month away. It was brought up in the nominees thread but I started a new one hear to avoid losing focus.

The precedent that comes to mind is during the 2008 strike I remember both the golden globes and the people’s choice awards being televised with simply a host reading off the nominees and winners (the PCA being hosted by queen latifah I believe). There were no usual bits written during the awards because the usual writers were WGA. That gets the job done for those two telecasts, but does anyone here know if the usual “writers” for other segments during the Tony telecast are WGA? I’m assuming they would be since it’s on TV, and this could affect the usual proceedings.

I hope this doesn’t bring the whole ceremony to a hault and prevent it from airing on TV, given the work that’s already being done to move the ceremony uptown, and that a host is already announced, etc. If the precedent listed above is followed, I still think a complete telecast with no WGA affiliation is possible. Keep your host, keep your presenters, and most importantly keep your performances as they’re known to be a huge national commercial for all shows. If this means no bits in between then so be it, but the night is really not about that and I think it should go on without any WGA affiliation.

If anyone here knows if this will be a conflict please share your knowledge! I very well may be speculating - just wondering.
