There's another thread, I believe, about this - and I know there is a Playbill article about Directors with multiple shows on Broadway...
In the last couple decades, can anyone name a year when a writer/composer had more than 2 shows on Broadway?

The most Lloyd Webber had has been three. But he did it six times:
1982: Cats, EVITA, Joseph & the ...
1988: Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Starlight Express
1990: Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Aspects of Love
1993: Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Joseph Revival
1994: Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard
2000: Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar Revival
And if you want to get technical, Frank Wildhorn had the three already mentioned in 1999, but also had two shows running in Jekyll & Hyde and Victor/Victoria for a small time in 1997.

Jerry Herman had Dollly!, Mame and Dear World all running at the same time.
Sondheim (and Prince, Bennett and Aronson) had Company and Follies running at the same time.
