XanadU on-stage seating question.
XanadU on-stage seating question. #1

I'm so sorry to post a thread like this, but I need to know. When you buy on-stage seats, do you just sit wherever on-stage you please or do they assign you seats? I want to know because if I do go, I want to know if I want to get there early to get seats to the left or right (I believe they have a better view than directly in the back, no?).
Thank you so much.

Posted: 8/7/07 at 11:18pmGet there early and sit on the sides if you can cos it's better there. I cannot stress enough about early arrival! They come up and it's very close and it's basically AWESOME!! Have fun!

Thank you. If I do go, I'll need to pick my tix up at the box office because they won't get here in time. So, I just bring the order confirmation to the box office?

Posted: 8/7/07 at 11:46pmHow do you get the onstage tickets? Presale or day of show?
re: XanadU on-stage seating question. #6
Posted: 8/7/07 at 11:50pmThey are selling too well to buy them "day of" right now-- I would get them at least a week ahead, at the box office, or Telecharge (if you dont mind the surcharges)

Posted: 8/8/07 at 4:07amYeh, probably an hour before. You won't regret it! Have fun.

Posted: 8/8/07 at 10:17amThe order confirmation isn't as important as bringing the credit or debit card you bought them with. That said, I'm bringing both on the 25th.:)

Posted: 8/10/07 at 7:22pmI have a question: I will be seeing the 8:00 pm show on Friday- when should I schedule the train to leave that night?

Posted: 8/10/07 at 7:46pmDoes anyone know? 10:00-11:00?
re: XanadU on-stage seating question. #11
Posted: 8/10/07 at 8:56pmI saw the 8:00 show on Thursday. It got out about 9:40 or so. We got a couple of autographs and got to Grand Central around 10:15. If you don't do autographs, you could probably make it by 10.

Thank you- I'm going to Penn Station.
re: XanadU on-stage seating question. #13
Posted: 8/10/07 at 9:11pmOh sorry. I walked by Penn Station before the show. I think it takes about 20-30 minutes to get there from Helen Hayes Theatre, but I'm not positive. You should still be fine by 10:30 or so, I'd think. Have fun :)

Posted: 8/10/07 at 9:19pmIt doesn't seem that there are any trains leaving around that time...
re: XanadU on-stage seating question. #15
Posted: 8/10/07 at 9:31pmAre there seriously no trains leaving after 5 pm?

BroadwayE2: Are you taking a LIRR train?
And the Helen Hayes is on 44th (between 8th and Broadway?), I believe. It shouldn't take more than ten to fifteen minutes to get there from Penn (and vice versa) if you take 8th.

Posted: 8/10/07 at 10:15pmI was taking an amtrak train. Oh my god- I have no way to get from New York to Boston after the show. Holy ****.

Is there a bus you could take? A Greyhound, maybe? I'm not sure how the bus system works really, as I'm a train person, but I have a few friends from Boston who will take the bus to and from Manhattan every so often.

Posted: 8/10/07 at 11:19pmIts been my experience that buses like Greyhound have later runs than amtrak does when I come up to the city from DC. I assume its the same for Boston.

Posted: 8/10/07 at 11:31pmIs there ANY train that will go from NY to Boston at 10-11? Also, is there a bus stop right in the theatre district?
