We saw it last night & thought it was great.

We just watched the movie last week (I saw it originally & Mrs R never saw it) The show is a great take on it. All the leads are superb especially Cheyenne Jackson . The staging, especially for that small an area, was brilliant. The book was equally good & Mrs R loved it even thought she did not like The Little Dog That Laughed.

They made an off hand joke about Patti Lupone in Gypsy that got a hand from the audeience. It was packed last night

A very entertaining show from start to finish. By the way, I can see jackson in either the role of Lil Abner or Superman.

What was the LuPone Gypsy joke?

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

"Next door at Gypsy, Patti Lupone hasn't even alienated her daughter yet"--or something like that

Glad you enjoyed, Roxy !!! I was there last night as well-

Mary's new line is "Short... and happy? ....come on... over at "Gypsy", Patti Lupone hasnt even alienated her first child yet"- It has gone over very well !!! :))

Must better than the "Spring Awakening" line that she had been using.

Xanadu really is a great show.

I think both of those jokes are clever... and must be a riot when delivered by Mary, live.

[title of show] on Broadway. it's time. believe.

Glad you enjoyed it, Mr. Roxy!

We had a blast at Xanadu. Such a smart, hysterical piece. If I could afford the tix and trip more often, I'd just keep going back!
