Xanadu Review 7/27/08

This was my 3 time seeing Xanadu and it never disappoints. I sat onstage this time it was so much fun up there. It was Jackie Hoffman's last show for the summer. She did a great job she never phones in her performance. Her ad lib was hilarious she asked the guy if he was enjoying her performance and then she started singing And I am telling you im not going. She stopped the show for a good 2 minutes. Patti was laughing and Curtis was clapping for her it was great. Mary Testa was out again I only saw her once out of the 3 times I went. Her understudy was good but I like Mary better. Patti Murin was on as Kira/Clio. What a great job she did. She should be bumped up to playing the role full time when Kerry leaves. I like it much better onstage then sitting in the audience. What a great show they really look like they are enjoying it so much.

I was at the show also, for the first time, and have to put in a plug for Curtis, who was amazing. It is a show in itself just watching him dance. I realize Cheyenne must be primo, cause he is just that, but I really look forward to seeing Curtis move on to other great roles. He looked very happy during his last curtain call, which was nice to see.

yes Jackie had a great last show no speech or anything maybe because she is coming back. She has such great moments in the show.
