Sorry, if a post like this already exists. I checked by searching first, and nothing came up.
Anyway, has anyone ever done that? If so, how was it? I understand I would probably miss some things because of the actors having their backs facing that way, but I just thought it was an interesting idea. Actually, if they do seating like that, wouldn't there have to be something about the show where that works? Like you couldn't just do that with Spamalot or Mamma Mia. And sorry for always using those 2 references because I have not seen other Broadway shows yet, besides Chicago.
It's a lot of fun. If you sit in one of the side areas you really don't miss that much. I prefer the onstage seating at Xanadu to the regular seating...you just feel like a part of it more or something.
Thanks! Gives me something to think about now. Maybe I can afford to go and see that with seating like that, and then Don't Quit Your Night Job in June, and stay over. I want to see Spamalot again, but I might as well give something else a try. I actually find it sort of interesting that seating up there is cheaper than the rest. But then, it's probably because of the view.
Some of the cast members may sit right next to you and offer you some popcorn..lol and well, yeah they interact with the on-stage audience
That sounds really awesome. This is definitely on my must see list now. :)
