Yeah, I saw that. And then I checked ticketmaster and it showed the shows that were originally booked past the 29th, as cancelled. It made me a wreck. heh

I think its just a ploy to sell tickets. .
They did the same thing with Spelling Bee. . I would venture to guess Xanadu will be at Water Tower until the end of April.

I saw it again tonight. The cast is still giving great performances, but the audience was less than half filled. It was REALLY sad to see, although not surprising for a Wednesday evening for a not-so-popular show.

I saw the show for the first time this afternoon, and for a matinee, it was a great crowd! My group of eight had onstage seats, and we loved every moment of it! I wish the tour was staying in Chicago longer, so we could see it again.

Me too. I need to get over it. Somehow I got over the Broadway closing. But then again, I already knew it was coming to my town at the time, because I could see it more times.

Jacob - while the support is MUCH appreciated don't take that to the race track...you'll lose. Airline tickets have already been bought for the company to fly out of Chicago March 30. While Chicago audiences and reviewers loved it the sales just weren't there. Whether that is due to economy, time of year or both we'll never know. But the show can NOT go on without people paying to see it. Sad but true. If you feel the show is leaving early I CHALLENGE you to fill the seats with all your friends EVERY SHOW. Otherwise this show has had a wonderful run at Drury Lane and they have loved the audiences, reviews and the CREW most of all!!!

LOL. . I bought tickets to three more performances :)

Just bought stage tickets for the 28th matinee, and I still have tickets for the 22nd. In total I will have seen the national tour 4 times and twice on Broadway. If only it could stay through the summer .

Including the closing performance, I'll have seen it 6 times in Chicago. That's about half of what I was planning, had the show stuck around through May. Oh well. Does anyone know how to say "break a leg" in Japanese?

The only word in Japanese I know is "chibi." I think it means little, or tiny? lol I don't remember where I heard it, I have a friend who is obsessed with anime so that's probably it. I wish I could have seen the show more! Once on Broadway, and after the 22nd and 29th it will have been...5 times here, 6 total? I think that's right.

Lol, I was at last night show and it rocked! One of the best shows I've seen! The audience was into it, despite there being small one again, and despite an understudies cast member, she still rocked as muse of music. It's still great the cast is still giving their all even on during their final shows.
Oh, and I tried to get stage tickets for the final night show and they are all gone.

I saw it again last night and it just keeps getting better. . the audience was almost full. .so I was very happy to see that.
I talked to Vincent Rodriguez before the show and he said that he is going on for Sonny next week. . I believe he said Tues-Thurs (the show started while he was telling me so I had to run to my seat)
