#1Xanadu seating question
Posted: 10/16/07 at 4:52pmI'm looking at tickets to purchase for Xanadu for my New York trip...should I purchase a ticket that is more centered but 11-15 rows back in the orchestra or to the right of the stage but on the 4th row?

Theater is small and intimate... but I would suggest CENTER orchestra on your 1st viewing...

And how often are Kerry and any of the rest of the cast out? On Sundays?
I'm unfortunately a guy who cares about details and happens to always go to New York on the days that the actors I want to see are gone. Just my luck...
Do they have any scheduled absences for November and December?

CENTER definitely. The side seats aren't great, unless you're on the aisle.
Kerry has only missed one performance from what I understand, and they certainly haven't publicized any upcoming absences. Unlikely she would miss during a big tourist season. Cheyenne, however, has commitments to a television show, and it's unclear when he's in or out.

Yeah, I'm finally seeing it on December 2nd...I can't wait! I've pretty much destroyed the CD from listening to it way too much haha thanks again Jay!
And that's odd about my PM situation...

This is to answer NYC Theatre's question... (your PM's are turned off...)
If you go by yourself, you can ask to sit wherever you want usually. The ushers will squeeze everyone in as best as they can.
Don't worry, everyone is awesome there and will accomodate you anyway they can. :o)

Posted: 1/10/08 at 11:10pmKerry has taken a one week vacation and other than that has only missed one other show. She is a total work horse, and rarely to never misses, and this is not just with Xanadu, but for her entire career. She's really an amazing performer, and has a great work ethic. So 99.9% you'll be seeing her.

Out of curiosity, I saw the show from the ORCH and saw the chalk art Sonny had done of the muses reflected on the circular screen but wasnt sure if the people sitting onstage could see it. They had this strange look on their faces when the rain washes it away and Sonny is somewhat frantic. I wasnt sure if the look on their faces was just a reaction to Sonny or a 'what is he looking at?'. I sat in Row A so I was too close to see the stage floor but I'm assuming it was a projection that cant be seen from the on stage seats.

When sitting on stage, you do see the mural getting blurred by the rain... just not through the mirror.
wonderwa11, Cheyenne will be with the show for another 6-7 months. Then he'll leave to work on the Lifetime show. He has very good attendance, so you'll probably get to see him. This info came straight from the man himself.
