**** MINOR SPOILERS *****
Wow !!! There is really something special going on at the Helen Hayes. No joke, I have never seen so many people just having the greatest time !!!
The show has just gotten so much better since last week---!!
Got a ticket thru TDF--- Row B on the aisle !!! (The TDF tickets for this show have been incredible---)
Cheyenne Jackson was Sonny, and while I still think that Curtis is better suited for the role, CJ is excellent, and has an amazing voice !!
BUT...... did get to see Holbrook do his "tap"--- INCREDIBLE !!!
Kerry Butler is perfect in this role !!! (Her mom had an
on-stage seat--- talk about lookalikes !!!!?? Her twin !!!)
Really... (and I dont want to come off as a shill), but this show is not gonna close anytime soon- Packed tonight, and just listening to people leaving the theatre. I heard one woman tell her friend that had been having the worst day, but she is so glad she decided to go.
Incredibly enjoyable !!
!!!
i hope it isnt closing anytime soon. it hasnt even opened yet.
glad you liked it.
I saw one of the first previews and had a blast. I'm dying to see what they've done with it since then. I think this one's going to be a hit.
I'm seeing it July 2 with a tdf ticket. Can't wait! (I figure if nothing else, I'll have seen the two roller skating shows... There have been only 2 right?)

True, but the thought by many is that the show will get trashed by the critics, (mainly because of how bad the movie was) and
close shortly after that.... its not happening.
WAYYYYYYY too much fun !!
Jordan, hope ya love it ! Will have my wife look for you. She will be there 7/2 as well. I am going with a co-worker on 7/3
(.... and 6/29 & 6/30---- thanks, TDF!)

Sounds good--- bought her the baby tee tonight, (and she will deinitely be wearing it to the show) -
Yeah I think Tony did say it when I saw it.
Were you at the stage door tonight?

How was Mary, Jackie, and Tony?
They were great!
Cheyenne Jackson did a terrific job tonight (Friday, June 22nd). He cuts quite the leading man figure especially next to Kerry Butler. CJ was in good voice and was hilarious, but the poor guy looked a little nervous on some of the roller skate scenes.
And as usual, CJ was very gracious at the stage door. I asked him if he's opening the show, and he said yes. Guess that means he'll be on the cast recording if/when the powers that be decide to make one.
I asked the girls that were working at concessions if they were making a cast recording and they said that they will record it sometime in July and it would probably come out in September.I don't know how accurate that is but that's what they said.
well. damn.
maybe i should try to squeeze this into my schedule while im in the city in august. hmmm.

im so happy to hear this, cant wait to see the grosses on monday to see if its doing better. i really hope this show makes it. well see when reviews come out...
I had asked about he OBCR, and was also told "sometime in the summer" it would be recorded. They would be foolish if they didnt record it. (IMHO)
Obsessed... no, I didnt stagedoor, however, found out that I was sitting right next to another BWW'er last night !! :))
I will be at the stagedoor next Saturday, for sure.. I have seen Kerry by the stagedoor before shows all 3x, so far. She is just too cute for words !!!
It was definitely Tony that said the line when I saw it the first time as well.
And Mary and Jackie are amazing !!! "Evil Woman" is my favorite number in the show !!
I'll be in New York in late March, and I'd love to get tickets to see this then - do you think it will still be open with OBC?
It would be awesome if it was still going strong then.

Just saw Xanadu last night. Got great tickets in the TKTS line - 9th row center orchestra! Wow! This show had both my husband and myself crying with laughter throughout! It was just fabulous and Kerry Butler was perfect in the role.
I would love to see it again and again!!!
