Can anyone tell me a good site to get Xanga music codes for a variety of Broadway shows? Particularly Spamalot, because I can't find it anywhere!!!
Thanks. :)
Ugh, that's one of the things I hate about Xanga. Would YOU like to surf to some random blog and then all of a sudden get assaulted by music you don't expect to be blasting at you?

I toatly agree with you Lizzie. I have jumped out of my skin several times while doing the blog thing for that very reason. BTW, nice name

www.xanga.com/musical_music there isn't really too much variety right now but they do have broadway stuff
myspace is down right now but I have a code that allows people to stop the music from blasting at them. I'll put it up as soon as myspace returns (the code works for xanga) I found this code because I too hate whenever the music just blasts at me

And hey, it's not just Xanga sites...ANY Web site presenting any music or sound effects runs the risk of pissing off users like me who like to crank iTunes while surfing the Web!
Believe you me, having some cheesy MIDI suddenly come on while I'm blasting "Sheena is a Punk Rocker" REALLY kills it.
Pro tip: Unless there's really compelling reasons for adding sound to your site...don't do it.
Together, we'll clean up the Web, one site at a time.

I don't mind the music on websites if there's a way to stop it. Otherwise, it can really annoy me depending on what it is. My friend has a xanga that likes to blast rock music that I can't stop when I go there.
This is a really good site for xanga music. http://www.xanga.com/tarnishedone

This site also works well, but it's a little more complicated to use. You have to click on the song you want. It should pop up in your Windows Media Player and then on the side it should say something like Playlist 2 or 3 or some number. Then you click on it and click properties and you can get the link from there.
I don't like it when I go to a Xanga and music starts blaring uncontrollably at me, so on my Xanga, I have a thing up at the top that lets them choose whether they want to listen to it or not, along with album art.
You have to know a little HTML to set it up though.

Here's the code -- put it into the HTML box on your "look & feel" page
<*center*><*embed allowScriptAccess="never"src= "LINK TO SONG GOES HERE" autostart="true" loop="false" volume="50%" height="20" width="145"><*/center>
Get rid of the *s

Use a music box. It allows you to stop and play a variety of songs.. it's nice.
I think you have to use windows media player with a music box. I definitely prefer Quicktime.
For those of you, like myself, that HATE music on blogs and stuuf because I would rather listen to what I want to, all you have to do is press ESC when the music starts!
Does that work on every browser in both Mac and PC platforms?

Anyone know how to make a big music box? The one I currently have only can play 5 songs, I'll take it, but just curious... thanks!

I actually have it mentioned in my MySpace profile anybody with music in their profile gets an automatic rejection/removal from my friendlist.

I agree - I hate the blasting music. That's why I have the drop-down player with stop and pause buttons as well. :)
Thanks for the sites - I'll check them out ASAP.
No sweat! I have uploaded lots of broadway music! Check out my site!
