YAAAY! Billy Elliot News! — Page 2

Just bumping this thread for absolutely no other reason except to express my dilemma in choosing dates and tickets to get. I still haven't figured out which date is the "real opening" (I mean, they have to test out each Billy, but which one is the grand opening?).

Also, any idea what a "stall" is? Is that like a balcony seat?

ETA: I think it's orchestra seats.

ETA: The thought of seeing opening night of Billy Elliot and opening preview of Guys and Dolls has almost made me cream. Guys and Dolls starts selling in a few hours. Does anyone think I should buy tickets now just in case, and if my itinerary doesn't work, I'll be able to sell it on eBay?

Tough choice on those dates. My impression was that really all the "openings" are supposed to be equal. Maybe the 17th would be best, as everyone's nerves would have had a chance to settle, but I think I'd go for the first one, just for the thrill of it.

Yes there will be three press nights, one for each of the Billys. The show is going to be quite different depending on which boy you see as Billy, as they all have different strengths and Stephen Daldry wants to emphasise these. Do you mean the press night though or the actual opening night? The OFFICIAL opening night is May 11th. Hope you enjoy it whenever you get to see it.

Thanks to my favorite Beatle for the clarification. My tour plans may change, and so I may wind up having to see a preview.

No probs and don't worry Type-a-Tiff, I'm sure the previews will still be of a good standard but as Chloe said earlier, make sure you're about on either a fri or sat as there will only be 3 previews a week to begin with.
