It will not last a week.
It's got to close in January.
No it won't. Mel's ego is too big to close his show so fast!

Posted: 11/9/07 at 11:17pmThis show will not close any time soon. It has a nice advance and will probably be around for 2-3 years. It's a novelty and a familiar story, so tourists will still want to see it, despite the mixed to negative reviews. That's what Brooks is counting on. I'm sure he knew he would have a much tougher go of it this time around. You could never live up to post-Producers hype, just ask Nathan Lane & Matthew Broderick during the Odd Couple run. It is what it is and musical theatre will live on.

The lyrics are:
Together again 'til the next time
We're awfully glad that you came!
(Two similes here, I forgot what they were)
Like ping pong and paddles, maybe next year, Blazing Saddles?
'Til the next time, together again!!!
Together forever again!
I believe "Maybe next year, Blazing Saddles" used to be "Like Starbucks and Seattle," from what you guys have been buzzing about.

Posted: 1/24/08 at 3:04pmIt's "we're mighty glad that you came", and also, "like Byron and Shelley, like pickles and deli" are the other things.
