YANK! at the Gershwin? Have they added a chorus of thousands?
YANK! needs a smaller, more intimate theater than the Gershwin barn.

I have to admit that I entered the show skeptically because 40s pastiche music sounds like a night in hell, but it thoroughly won me over. Especially Bobby Steggert, who never fails to be vulnerable and daring and honest and heartbreaking.

It definitely needed work at that point, but there was a lot of potential in it and I'd love to see it have a life in the future. I don't know if Broadway is necessarily the best place for it though, unless it's put up by one of the non-profits or does a limited run...I get the feeling they'd have a hard time trying to do a commercial run on Broadway.
