I still have yet to see a number of shows that opened this year, so that list will come later.

But here's my Top 10 new show list of the decade, in alphabetical order.

Avenue Q
August: Osage County
Contact
Doubt
The History Boys
Movin' Out
Passing Strange
The Pillowman
The Producers
Ruined

Great list, Yankee. I think many serious decade lists will share a commonality with yours.

Good list, but I disagree with Contact.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

Hm. I'm not sure. I don't think we'd need both Movin Out and Contact, and if I had to choose one, I'd pick Movin Out. It took what Contact had done and built upon it and made it a huge success. But I'm happy to see Passing Strange on there!!!

The Pillowman would have to be on the best plays written in the 20 years.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian
