I think we're missing the point everyone.

This rendition contains all the infectious and delightful tunes from the original production. Who cares about the inclusion of an openly gay character?

The revolutionary story arc and completely innovative creative approach to musicals in general propels this project. I can't wait for it to come to Broadway and sweep in the Tony awards. The incredibly talented and creative people involved in this production deserve EVERY single one of them...

And probably even a few more...

Think we can invent a couple categories for this cast and crew?

As a gay man I don't announce I am gay daily.. I live my life and I am sure many people infer I am gay from my actions. How is it not an honest portrayal of a gay character? In the production I saw Ryan had moments of camp and moments of honesty.
