Ya know, for some of us, the rigors of the professional theatre world are just not an option. As much as we love performing, doing so as a profession is sacrificed for the sake of family and stability. So, a little part of us lives vicariously through our friends. You go, Keala!

We got another great review in the SF Examiner. San Francisco is a lot like NY. For the most part, reviews totally control a show's success out here. So we're all very happy today.........and yes, YOU GO, KEALA!

Awwwwe man, I wish I was aleready in San Fran so I could see Hairspray! Is Bruce Vilanch in this cast? How long is its run? I'm gonna be up there June 22nd for SFSU Registration. Anyway. Is anyone else totally excited that Lennon and Jerry Springer the Opera are trying out in San Fran? You bet your ass I am.

To answer your question, yes, Bruce Vilanch is still in the touring company here in San Francisco. The tour is gonna sit in SF until it moves to San Diego on July 5th for 2 weeks before sitting in LA from July 19 through September 5th. Bruce Vilanch will be with the tour in all of these cities. Marissa Jaret Winokur, (the original tony winning Tracy) will join the tour in San Diego and stay with it through LA.

So the amazing Keala will be sitting back stage in San Diego and LA? That is a shame.

I'm for one hoping this show will make it to London soon...it's a shame that it's not here yet!
