Yet ANOTHER Broadway orchestra question...

Yet ANOTHER Broadway orchestra question...

Does anyone know the orchestra for MARY POPPINS if anyone's seen previews? Is Kristen Blodgette conducting like always? One of my friends Robert Billig was supposed to have, but he's staying in WICKED.

Sorry, I haven't seen Mary Poppins so I can't help you. But if you put "Mary Poppins" in the title, you'll attract the attention of more people who actually have seen it and can give you a list.

I believe that Brad Haak, formerly of Lestat, is the music director for the show, although I was hoping it would be Ms. Blodgette as well.

Dean: Can I tell you something? Lorraine: That depends on what it is. Dean: I think you're really really pretty. Lorraine: (after a pause) Ok, you can tell me that.

Yes, Brad Haak is MD, and David Caddick is the Supervisor. Why would it be assumed that Kristen Blodgette would be doing it? I don't believe she has ever worked for Disney, not that it matters. I know she has worked for Cameron M. before, but not on a regular basis. I like her actually, but no conductors are ever a "shoe in" for a job. Trust me... Our jobs are just as hard to get as actors, if not MORE!

I assumed it would be Kristen because she has done many shows with David Caddick, like "Woman in White" and has frequently returned to conduct "Phantom" a lot. But I also like Brad Haak as a conductor. He had just done "Opposite of Sex" and "Lestat" on Broadway, so I think this would be a cool career move for him.

Okay, I'm gonna start the thread over and see if anyone gets it.

David Caddick was not involved with Woman in White at all. Simon Lee was the Supervisor and Kristen B., the MD.

And, yes, I agree, a good and lucky career move for Haak. May it happen that way for all of us re: Yet ANOTHER Broadway orchestra question...

You could've just changed the title and bumped it up again.
