There was only one day where he seemed to be having a bad day....but you know what? They are entitled to have a bad day so maybe you caught him on an off day.

I agree. I have met the cast twice after the show, and both times Josh was nothing but kind to everyone at the door. Think about it, though - after singing and swinging and jumping for two hours, and doing it 8 times a week, sometimes you might be tired of people hounding you at the door. So I wouldn't take it personally, and certainly wouldn't say his popularity is going to his head.

Josh is very personable, but he's a diva.
Jenn is genuinely nice (either that or she fakes it very well).

He does 8 shows a week plus goes to almost every broadway event that goes on to promote Tarzan. Give the guy a break. Some days he probably doesn't want to be bothered.

Ok, I saw the show again yesterday for my third time (I don't know why I've seen it this much, but anyway). Jenn was losing her voice apparently (or so she told us after the show), but she still sounded amazing, as did the rest of the cast. I was a little disappointed with Chester, he just seemed to be showing off A LOT last night, and I didn't think it worked very well. I loved his performance about a month ago, and it had just changed. I saw Darrin Baker go on for Professor Porter and was not impressed. He didn't seem to know his part and he was prety much talking his was through "Like No Man I've Ever Seen". But overall, the performance wasn't bad, aside from the people sitting beside us arriving right before "Waiting For This Moment". That was distracting.
As for Josh, he was incredibly nice and gracious after the show. I certainly did not see at all where it's going to his head that he's Tarzan. Jenn was also so sweet, and Merle was her shy self at the stage door. But overall, it was just a fun show and I had a good time.

I'm middle-of-the-road when it comes to Tarzan, as well.
I saw it the summer of 2006 with the full cast in. I go into all shows wanting to enjoy them and have a great time. I never go in wanting to critique it or find something wrong with it. So more often than not, I have wonderful things to say about every show. I went with a tour group who picked this show, it was not my choice. I was dissapointed, there was so many others I would have rather seen. Nevertheless, I went with a positive attitude. This was my friend's first Broadway show and I was afraid this would turn her off of musicals for good.
I did enjoy the show. It was a lot of fun to look at, as far as the colors and the vine swinging. There's definately talent on the stage, as you'd expect of a Broadway cast. My friend really liked it, so I was relieved. This show was fine for what it was, but it's not something I would pay to see again. It was good, but not great. Not horrible, either, though.
As far as Josh and the cast at the stage-door goes: I found him and everyone else to be incredibly nice, if not a little rushed. But there was a lot of people and they were trying to make sure everyone got the autographs/pictures that they wanted. Shuler was in no hurry, and it caught me off-guard when he asked me a question. (Up until then everyone simply signed and said thank you when I complimented them, then went on). So it was a pleasant surprise when he was concerned with where my seats were and if I had a good view. He also asked where I was from. Very nice.
