You're A Good Man Charlie Brown

I just heard the soundtrack to the play from the revival cast and I was just wondering if anyone knew about it. Is it still playing, who's in it now etc etc. Because my cousin and I might be going to New York soon and we are making a list of musicals and plays to see while we are there. Has anyone seen this and if so, if you could drop a review that would be great.
Thanks!

I'm glad you enjoyed the cast recording of this musical. It's no longer playing on Broadway, though. If you ever want a list of all the shows playing on Broadway currently, the simplest thing to do is look at the front page of ibdb.com.

The revival with Anthony Rapp as Charlie Brown? Sorry, but it closed a few years ago.

It's not playing. It kind of...died after the 1999 Tonys, even though Chenoweth and Roger Bart won Tonys for their roles.

"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."

i'm so sorry SallyBrown!!! The show was amazing. I think they should revive it even though it closed not to long ago. It deserved to stay open longer.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell plus i proudly share the title of the shortest member over the age of 10 with wickedrentq!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE YAGMCB and was so sad to see it go! re: You're A Good Man Charlie Brown! It's one of my favorites! *tear*

re: You're A Good Man Charlie Brown

They don't often do Broadway revivals of shows that only ran a few months and lost money the first time around.

YAGMCB belongs in a small theatre where parents can bring their children without having to pay $90 a ticket.

Arggg that sucks. The revival cast recording was sooo good! I first heard Kristin sing My New Philosophy during this summer workshop (another group of younger kids were doing a dance to it for the show....so cute!) and I loved it and searched forever to find the CD. I finally found it from a friend who is going to burn it for me (YES!) and I am in love with it. Though I guess I'm not surprised that it didnt stick around that long since it was a smaller production and more of a children's play then anything else. Too bad though, it had a great cast. Kristin is the perfect Sally Brown!

re: You're A Good Man Charlie Brown

broadwaystar2be, it closed June 13,1999, not exactly 'almost seven years ago'. :) I know because I was there.

re: You're A Good Man Charlie Brown

This was a fun show that I saw when it was touring. I didn't know much about it (really wanted to see Anthony Rapp live) but ended up seeing most of the OBC (not Anthony of course, who was out) and liked it enough to get the soundtrack and still listen to it - just last week as a matter of fact!
