You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown auditions help

Hi everyone.
I searched under this topic and I didn't get results that this has been asked before so..I have auditions for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown coming up, and I need help picking a song. I'm 15 years old, and I'm usually a soprano, but vary really. I really want to get Sally Brown, so what is a good audition song for that character? Thanks in advance!

popular is good for that role.
i know a lot of girls who sing stuff from once upon a mattress when auditioning for this show too.
also, good morning baltimore, mama i'm a big girl now would both be fine choices.

such a fun play. When we did this in Germany, I was the musical director......I had two Lucys and two peppermint Pattis who alternated as we couldn't decide who to choose, as they were all so good.

My Charlie Brown had a habit of skipping around in some of his songs...drove me nuts, but he'd come back to where he should be.....he was the Charlie Browniest.....

i'm sure you're doing the revised though, so no peppermint patty. but really, any fun, upbeat song would do. think cheno, think lippa, think late 90's, early 2000's. have FUN!

some of my friends are in YAGMCB, and it isnt the revival, it has peppermint patty and marcy and stuff so not necessarily, apdarcey.

well, the revival's better in my opinion. millie, find out which one they're doing. because sally is in the revival, not the original.

Maybe something from Urinetown.....because in the recording JLT as Hope, sounds kinda Cartoonish....just like Sally!!!!!!

Patty was in the original, not Peppermint Patty. Patty's a completely different character.

patty in the play was a made up character, not in the cartoons. she simply served the purpose of being another girl, combining traits of sally and peppermint patty.

My choir teacher is thinking of doing this show for next year's musical but is wavering because of the lack of chorus parts. Where in the revival can you stick a semi-adequate chorus entrance? (i really want to do this show, so any help is really appreciated)

you can insert chorus on the opening, beethoven day, t-e-a-m, suppertime, happiness. sort of on the book report (if done well)

Uh...it's hard to stick ensemble parts in YAGMCB. Maybe the birds during Suppertime, and maybe birds during Snoopy. And you could have a crowd or something during T-E-A-M. And they could be background people in that scene where Charlie Brown has that paper bag on his head and people draw on it. ...I haven't seen the show in a while. Sorry I can't help more.
