We know this is supposed to be Mel's next big project. My kid heard this and asked; "Is it going to be staged in glorious black and white?" You have to wonder!

Wouldn't that be a SCREAM if they implemented some of the "City of Angels" lighting/sets/costume techniques to make it B&W????

We had a thread about this a while ago. If you search for it you will find a lot of our discussions.

By the time I wade through everything that comes up when I try to search, the play will have opened! Maybe I don't know how to use it properly.

I agree that with a lot of topics that are overly discussed, you should use the search function...like the 8millionth Wicked thread....but every now and then people can choose to reopen a conversation about something exciting and upcoming. It's okay guys, talk away!

I cannot wait for this. Young Frankenstein is my favorite Mel Brooks movie. I never saw City of Angels-what did they do to make it look like it was in black and white? Was it just black and white costumes, sets, etc or was there something else to it?

They had split dual worlds going on -- a screen writer in Color and his film characters in Black and White. There was one change that was AMAZING where everything went from color to black and white almost instantaneously -- pretty incredible.

BSO- I am just doing my part to save bandwith.

The more we save, the more we can post on DIFFERENT subjects.

Jacob,
We've had some other conservations about bandwith...if you use your search engine, you should be able to find them.

by the way, isn't it BANDWIDTH?

Read the entire previous thread that was posted here. Nobody mentioned the concept of the musical being staged in "glorious black and white," (no offense). So my question was still germaine.
