It is an hour of commercials occasionally interrupted by the special.

There were commercial breaks, but they were very short. They packed a lot into the special and it was a great show. Hoping there are many more Broadway specials in the future!

It was a fun special and I loved that "non-star" cast members got to be highlighted with the merchandise segment.

What was the point? What did they show? I'm not in the NYC area so I couldn't watch.

There were a handful of interviews with the cast, mel brooks, susan stroman, and gene wilder throughout the program, un the beginning they showed how Shuler gets his makeup and costume done for the monster, they showed some rehearsal scenes including listen to your heart and puttin on the ritz, a bunch of clips from the show were shown, megan mullally was talked about quite a bit, the merch for the show was displayed and they explained the process of the pre-show lotto

Mr Roxy, there were barely any commercials so I don't know what you were watching.
And the broadway poster on it was "theatre trash" I think. It was pretty interesting and entertaining. I have it on my tivo but I have no idea how to get it on youtube but I'll try to find out.

It sounds like a great special! I would have loved to have seen it. Hope someone puts it up on "the site" sometime soon.

I liked how they did a "where are they now" for the cast of the original film. I actually didn't know that Teri Garr had MS and have wondered why she hadn't been working.
