I love the music to Jaques Brel but it was VERY of its time. I frankly don't understand why we need yet another New York revival of it..

I remember when EVERYONE was doing this show. It had to be one of the (if not THE) most oft-produced shows of the 70s and early 80s. Some of those songs are timeless, so who knows, perhaps the show holds up after all this time.

Anyone remember the very odd film version of the show? TRIO was showing it a lot a few months ago.
