Unfortunately, the TV soundtrack is still not a representation of the show that is currently licensed through Dramatic Publishing. Because they rewrote the song "Sticky Situation" and eliminated most of "Up On Santa's Lap" and the dance arrangements are also different, especially for "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out", we still don't have a recording that represents the stage version. I suppose if you have the cast recording from 2011 which has most of the songs from the show but with different lyrics, and the new TV soundtrack, you might be able to combine them to come up with a reliable source recording. The cast recording has "Sticky Situation" and "Santa's Lap", though again, the lyrics are different than the licensed show. But the TV soundtrack does have "Ralphie to the Rescue" with the licensed lyrics. I still think it is a shame that an original Broadway cast recording was not made. John Bolton, Erin Dilly, Johnny Rabe, Zach Ballard and Caroline O'Connor with all of the updated songs would have made a perfect recording of this score. Such a shame.
