saturday night - got the last two box seats to a sold-out la boheme at the met.
sunday mat - waited in line for cancelled tickets to wicked, got them. (now i'm not a fanatic, simply a pseudo-fan, but i thoroughly enjoyed it)
monday night - got two of the last three tickets to phantom of the opera...during curtain calls the phantom gave christine a valentine, how sweet!!
that was my awesome NYC weekend, i got so lucky with tickets!! i couldn't believe it. i got to see my most favoritest opera (yup, i know it's not a real word), and two musicals i hadn't seen before.
i consider myself lucky.

la boheme is absolutely amazing. at the met, the stage just goes on forever; the cafe scene is incredible. there was always so much going on on the stage in the townsquare scene, so much to look at and take in. and i mean, it's the met, the voices speak (or sing, rather!!) for themselves. the setting is beautiful, with the chandeliers and gold and everything. and it's fun to get dressed up and see all the fancy outfits and my favorite - the shoes!!
my person favorite moment - there was a donkey with parpignol. oh yes, a real, live donkey!! hahahahha i'm so easy to please!!
