Yes!! It's a sensational 90 minutes. Not profound, not arty, but it delivers the kind of entertainment that Broadway used to prize -- a celebration of talent and fun and virtuosity. And we don't much celebrate it any more. I wish we did.
John, before you asked your question, I'm sure you did a fair amount of research on the show. I'm sure you read through some reviews on the show that speak in detail to what it's like and how well it's done. I'm sure you've also done a search on this site and discovered at least 5 or 6 threads where people talked about the show in great detail and what they thought of it. I'm certain you've already gone to Youtube to check out the sample clips of the show and videos about the show that After Midnight, like many Broadway shows these days have posted to give people a feel for the show. After reviewing all that, I'm sure your instincts have already started to tell you either "Hey, this looks cool and is the kind of thing I usually enjoy" or "eh, probably not for me".
So based on that, my advice would be if you think you will enjoy it, then yes, definitely see it. If not, then probably don't see it.

I personally loved the show, but follow Fisherman Bob's advice.
Ugh. Use the effing search function, people. This isn't ATC.
That being said, 'After Midnight' was one of the most supremely entertaining nights I've had in the theatre. As long as you understand you're going in for a revue, not a book musical, I can't imagine not enjoying a show with this level of musicianship and artistry. And, I'd definitely recommend catching it while Fantasia's in it. She's a total knockout.

Looking at After Midnight as theatre it comes across as a very weak show. Looking at is as dance it is spectacular and should not be missed. It's just a matter of what you are in the mood for.

so get a cast cd made of it so people who can not get to nyc to see it to hear it on cd
^ hmm.
So, what are we thinking here? Aspergers? Maybe just ESL?
Rather than editing my prior post, I want to publicly apologize to user Bryan. My comments were inappropriate and insensitive and via a private message Bryan (graciously) showed me just how out of line I was. So, Bryan, my sincere apology for my stupid post. Obviously, this board should be a welcoming place for people from all walks of life. It's so easy to be snarky, but it only takes a little more effort to think about the consequence of one's words. Lesson learned.
Also, I'm with you, I certainly hope we DO get a cast recording. Beyond the money question, I wonder if they're waiting to get KD Lang and Toni Braxton and Babyface on an eventual album along with Fantasia?

Yes you should see After Midnight! It's a fabulous night of Music/ Dance and Style. It is a Musical Revue that pays tribute to the yesteryear of Harlem Ala Black and Blue or Bring In The Noise Bring in the Funk. It is a Stella cast of Dancers and Singers and the musicians in the Orchestra Wow! It's the music of Duke Ellington... I saw go and experience what AM has to offer. I saw it was last night and was blown away by the delivery.

any evidence of discount codes for mid February with k.d. Lang?
I'm still astounded that front row mezzanine seats are over $300!
