Not from the show: I Wanna Be a Producer

Can you sing "Put On A Happy Face" from Birdie?

Ive been in this show before and I am auditioning for it again in a few weeks.. they want an uptempo song. I'm a female. Any suggestions for me? 2 times I auditioned for it, I sang Freddy My Love the other I had to sing something from the show. But, it seems my entire book are the best of broadway ballads.. I really need help fixing that.

my standart ballad is usually corner of the sky from pippin (along with everyone else...i just do it better :) ). but i don't think that's uptempo enough..or fun enough. i've played finch in how to succeed, sky in G&D, peter in JCS, and Mr. Walker in Tommy...but i can't think of any songs from those that would be right for this audition.

I think a great song to audition for that show with is "I've Gotta Crow" - It shows a childlike quality and is very upbeat and vibrant and shows lots of personality!

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

as asling for ransom advice on auditions on a message board isn't very professional. Only YOU have a clue about what yous hould sing ate very audition... telling your range doesn't help... it tells them LITTLE about your voice.

just because you aren't a professional doesn't mean you should act like one. regardless, you should have SOME degree of seriousness about it.

my old theatre teacher in high school said something that still follows me today -- "you may be a high school theatre student, but i expect MORE than a high school theatre performance. NEVER give less than your best and your best is not 'high school actor'".

listen. i've been doing this for a very long time. i know how to act at an audition.

i'm just looking for a little help, and i don't see that as being a big deal. the last few shows i've done have all been rock operas, and therefore i've sung songs like "heaven on their minds" as audition pieces. i don't think that would work at an audition like this. prior to that, i've always sung ballads...never an upbeat song. if you don't have any suggstions that might help, just don't say anything at all.

to everyone else. i greatly appreciate your input.
