Hi everyone. I've got an audition quite soon for a three year performing arts course at Guildford school of acting. You have to sing two contrasting musical theatre songs, does anyone have any ideas about which ones i should pick?
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
Two contrasting - for example, 1 up tempo using a belt voice and 1 ballad using part of your head voice/mix. Or sing one modern, one classic etc etc. They'll probably want to hear your belt voice versus a mix/head voice anyway. Hope this helps!
What sort of voice do you have? I presume you're a girl, are you a soprano, Mezzo, Alto, Belt etc.
I have far too much sheet music, let me know and i'll have a good root, most of it is very contEmporary musical theatre 2000 onwards and if need be i can even photocopy stuff and post it, they'll let u use photocopies at Guildford, my 2nd Audition FOR GSA is on the Fri 10th March when's yours?
