How are they? thanks
I was balcony first row..scary as hell being that high up and that close to the ceiling, but amazing view!
as long as they have a good view, rhats great, thanks!!
yea walking down to the seat is a bit scary but balcony 1st row is really good.
You can't beat it for the price. The view, as previously mentioned, is steep, but otherwise fine, and the sound is no problem. Chances are that you will be able to move down at intermission, which many in my group did when we saw the show in May. The view from the mezzanine is fabulous, and there were plenty of seats there. No one gave us any grief about moving down, which you get at some theatres. Some people opted to stay in the balcony, so it's not awful if it's not possible to move down.
oy. Take Drammamine before you go up there.
Most.frightening.theater.experience.ever! Well, besides Brooklyn.
In all seriousness, the seats are very, very steep. The last time I was there, a girl had to be moved because she was hyperventilating from the angle and the height. Yikes.

as stated above, but the view is one of the better balconies.
It's definitely a good view and at that price, you can't go wrong. It's just really steep, yo. :/
I'm not usually afraid of heights, but I definitely can't handle sitting up there. I get really scared that I'm going to tip over and plummet to my death.
Emcee, you're not alone. Walking down those stairs is frightening. I love me some Cheyenne but next time, I'm going to drool over him from the orchestra!
I remember when I saw AIDA there i felt like i was going to fall over when i got up at intermission to run and buy the cd. But, i really wanna get ther balcony seats for ASU.
The New Amsterdam is even worse. I shelled out an extra $25 bucks and got half price orchestra seats for ASU. Worth my money not to feel like I was going to die.
i sat up there. Its very steep, but great view. make friends with the people next to you, everyone can help each other not fall when you go through the row.

It is high up but once the show starts you won't be thinking about the height anymore and you definitely have a good view. Plus, the price is unbeatable for when you're on a budget!
The box office guys at the San Fransisco Opera (where I was an intern) have a saying about the balcony, "Once the opera starts, the balcony goes down," meaning that you don't notice the height once the theater is dark and you're just looking at the stage. It's pretty true.
