i was curious to know what people know about beowolf opening off broadway this coming season.

I heard BEOWULF was being turned into a film. I know there is an actor who reads the epic poem ith musical accompaniment. Perhaps that is being given an Off-Broadway run? Dunno.

Beowulf and Grendel will begin filming in August. Gerard Butler, who will be starring as the Phantom in the upcoming POTO film, is listed as playing Beowulf.

i read about the movie but i also saw somewhere that it's opening off broadway. i wonder what that's about. thanks though

Hope High School did Beowulf as part of our state drama festival this year- I didn't really enjoy the show (maybe cause the students adapted it on their own...and cause Grendel looked like a space alien as opposed to a Highland monster...) but I'm sure that it'll be much better on Broadway.
