Maybe age has something to do with it. Maybe just bigger expectations. Bloody, Bloody, Andrew Jackson was a wonderful show, but it really wasn't all that funny or moving. Yes, Saturday Night Live, which I use to enjoy, was what I thought the producers were going for. There were some funny performances, especically the actor who played J.Q. Adams. I don't suggest that you pass this show up. I just don't think you are going to enjoy it as much as you thought you would.

It's not a standard, linear book musical- it's a sketch-comedy musical with recurring plot and characters, almost along the lines of the revival of Charlie Brown.

Jejune and witless. There might have been three laughs in the entire 90 minutes. For all its brevity it seemed like an eternity.

I know that people will say it's for young people. I say that young people deserve better. Old people too.
