does anyone know the original key of this song? because in the les miz songbook it's written in f and this seems too low to me...

Here's what I'd suggest: Listen to your Les Mis CD, using a piano figure out what is the ending note sung on the CD, and then look in your sheet music and figure out if there is a difference and if so by how much. That's my great, highly-trained professional way for figuring it out...
