broadway strike news

I'm a student reporter covering the broadway strikes in New York and are looking for interviews from stagehands on strike, or any one who has had to cancel their tickets to broadway shows.
For stage hand strikers who read this, I will not be asking for controversial political statements, but rather qeustions along the lines of "what is New York like" "how has the strike impacted you" and to describe the picketing scenes.
Anyone who responds will be of much help,

Are you in New York? Why don't you go down to Times Square and try to interview some people there? I'm sure people on the picket lines and tourists in the area would be willing to talk with you.

Unfortunately, I am not in New York, but Maryland. There is no other place I'd like to be right now but in New York covering this, but it is at this moment impossible for me to get down there. I'm not in the best situation to cover this story, but an assignment requires it, so I am trying the best I can. Any help would really be appreciated.
