broadway under stars question

I have never done this before. How early should I get there if I want a good spot on the lawn? Any advice?

Last year was the first year I went, and I got there around 5:30. I think they let you on the lawn around 6. Everyone was lined up around the outside of the lawn until they finally let us on, and I remember just grabbing my friend's hand and running. We got a pretty good spot near the front. If you want to be close, I suggest getting there pretty early. Bring a picnic or something!

Oh God. Last year, I got there at like 2 in the afternoon - I don't know why. Don't go that early. :-P
